Diehl, Inc. of Defiance Ohio will join Governor Bob Taft’s trade mission to Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey May 13-21, 2003. 

Company background. Diehl, Inc.’s domestic food processing facilities manufacture evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk in cans for retail and foodservice customers. Diehl manufactures a full line of non-dairy powders, creamers, whipped topping bases, and shortening powders that are used industrially by other food processors. 

Current Markets. The company sells private labels to retail channels including supermarkets, warehouse clubs, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and specialty food markets. In foodservice, Diehl sells to distributors, institutional handlers and food manufacturing companies. Industrial powders are sold directly to other food processors that incorporate these products in their formulas. Diehl’s technical staff works directly with customers to determine which products best fit their needs. 

Representing the Company in Mexico. Peter A. Diehl is the president and chief executive officer of Diehl, Inc. He has been with the company for 30 years and has a degree in food science and nutrition. He has worked in research and development, domestic and international sales, and currently oversees the company’s operations from his office in Defiance.
