Dean
Foods Issues Dairy Recall because of Potential Pesticide Residues
Dean
Foods issued a recall of white milk - all sizes and percentages and Small Curd
Cottage Cheese because of potential pesticide residues.
The
products affected by this recall were sold during the week of February 11, 2002
with the plant code of 18-1019 and sell by dates of 2-27 2002, 2-28-2002, and
3-1-2002.
The
specific list of recalled dairy products is listed below.
Some
of the affected products were distributed to stores in Ohio.
The
recall is due to possible accidental contamination that occurred at the Hoosier
Milk Co-Op in Indiana. Information obtained thus far indicates that there is
minimal risk to human health from these products.
If
you have purchased milk or cottage cheese that are affected by this recall
return it to your local store for a full refund.
