The Microbiology Section of the Consumer Analytical Laboratory provides analytical and technical support to the operating Divisions of the Department of Agriculture. The Section provides
analytical testing of dairy products, potable water, meat and poultry products, fruits and vegetables, and other food products. Testing capabilities include antibiotic residue analysis, foodborne pathogen testing, and the
evaluation of the efficacy of disinfectants and sanitizers.
The State Laboratory Evaluation Officers (LEOs) are responsible for the training and evaluation of all laboratories within the State of Ohio that receive and process raw milk under the Interstate
Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.

1. Contact appropriate regulatory division
2. Follow their submission procedures
3. Regulatory division will submit product to labs for testing
4. Labs will conduct test
5. Results will be sent back to the submitting division
6. Regulatory division will contact you with results
