The General Chemistry section of the Consumer Analytical Laboratory provides analytical services for our Regulatory Divisions on a variety of products.  Our regulatory customers in the Department include Dairy, Feeds/Fertilizers, Food Safety and Meat Inspection.

The laboratory verifies the chemical make up of numerous products used everyday by the consumers of the State of Ohio.

In addition, the General Chemistry section is certified by the Ohio EPA to perform drinking water analysis.  The profile for water analysis includes heavy metal testing and general chemical components associated with the quality of our drinking water.

Consumers of the State of Ohio can access the analytical services of our section by either direct contact to the Consumer Analytical Lab or through one of the regulatory divisions of our Department.
