Study Materials

1. How do I get study material for the exams?

Private Applicator - Obtain from your local cooperative extension office.
Commercial Applicator - Mail application and fee

2. Is training required before I take the exams?

3. What do I pay or take to the exam site?

You will need to bring Photo ID or some type of photo identification.
You may bring a calculator.
License payments must be mailed to the Reynoldsburg office
Some exam sites charge a small fee to be paid at the door.

4. Do I need to submit proof of insurance with my application?

No, insurance can be one of the last things submitted in the licensing process

5. Is there a charge for each category?

No, the license fee of $35.00 covers all the categories.
(Note that each category you check on the application)

7. How do I know if my recertification status is complete?

Commercial Applicator: Requirements are 1 hour in general-core and at least 1/2 hour in each licensed category
Private Applicator: Requirements are 1 hour in general-core at least 1/2 hour in each licensed category

Hours do not carry over from one recertification period to the next, but only accumulate within the three year period.
