 Guidelines for Livestock
Operations
This booklet was developed in
2003 by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources
Division of Soil and Water Conservation,
ODA Livestock Environmental Permitting Program,
Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water, the United
States Department of Agriculture's Natural
Resources Conservation Service, Ohio State
University Extension, and the Ohio Livestock
Coalition to help farmers, citizens, local
officials, the media, and interested parties
and stakeholders better understand the types
of regulations, rules, permits, and plans
that may be required of certain farming operations.
