2. Can I stop in the middle of an application and complete it later?
If you do not have a Local Sponsor ID number:

Navigate to www.ohioagriculture.gov/aepp

Click on New Local Sponsor in the left navigation bar

Follow the instructions for Step 00 - Create New Local Sponsor Account

Click the Review Data button.

Click the Submit to Database button.

The Create a New Farm ID screen will appear. This is Step 1 of the application.

3. How do I start an application?
Landowners must apply to the AEPP through a Local Sponsor (i.e. Board of County Commissioners, Board of Township Trustees, Soil and Water Conservation District(SWCD), or a qualified non-profit organization
authorized to hold agricultural conservation easements). Landowners may not apply directly to AEPP.
4. What if I forget my Username and/or Password?
When you create your initial Local Sponsor (SWCD/NRCS) account, you
supplied a Security Question and Answer. Eventually, these will be
verifiable online, but for the application year, you can call the
Office of Farmland Preservation at (614) 728-6210. Identify
yourself, and the Office of Farmland Preservation will ask you your
Security Question and verify your answer. They will then supply
you with your password, or reset a new one for you, whichever you
choose.
5. How can I see my final Tier One score for an application?
Once you have received notification from the SWCD or NRCS Representative
that they have completed Steps 18 & 19 of the AEPP Application,
your Tier One Score is ready to be tallied. To receive your score:

Login using your Username and Password

The Create Farm ID screen will appear.

Click on the "Step 20 - Points Based Appraisal" item in the left navigation bar.

Login again, this time with your LSID number and the Farm ID you want to score.

Press the Submit button.

The Points Based Appraisal form will appear.

Your Tier One Score will be reported in Number 5,
"ODA Tier One Total Score."

Print this page for your submission.

Click the Submit to Database button.

The AEPP Checklist will appear. These are the additional required
attachments that must be submitted with the application.
6. When will final Tier Two scores be finalized?
The Farmland Preservation Advisory Board will evaluate Tier Two questions at the end of April, . Results should be available shortly thereafter.
7. How do I make edits to my information after it has been submitted?
Any corrections to the AEPP Application should be made at the Review
stage of each step. If you enter data, and press the "Review Data"
or "Review & Calculate" button, a review page is displayed in your
browser. Review this data thoroughly! If you see information
that was entered in err, press your browser's Back button and correct
the error. Press the Review Data button again. Once you are
certain the information is correct, click the "Submit to Database."
If you have
submitted the data, there is no way to change the information so be very
sure the data you are submitting is correct BEFORE you press the
"Submit to Database" button.
8. When is the deadline for my application?
All applications must be received by electronic submission and a signed
print out of the submitted version sent by registered or certified mail
to our office on or before 5:00 p.m. on April
7, .
No faxed copies will be accepted.
9. Where do I send my paper copy of the electronic version?
The application and all required attachments and documentation should be send to:

10. Can I submit information after the deadline?
You can, but it won't do any good. The database will not accept application submissions after 5:00 p.m. on April 7th, . All submissions must have been made prior to that time.
11. Do I need to create a new Local Sponsor Account for each application?
You should only create ONE Local Sponsor Account and use the LSID number assigned to you for each of your applications you are submitting in the AEPP Funding Round.
12. Who do I contact if I need to make changes, encounter an error, or suspect my calculations are not correct?
If you have a question about the program itself, please contact the Office of Farmland Preservation at (614) 728-6210. If the problem you are experiencing is with the functionality of the
program, please Report Application Problem at this link.
13. What if I forget my password and login as a new user?
If you forget your username or password, please call the Office of
Farmland Preservation at (614) 728-6210. You will be prompted for your
security question and if you provide the answer you submitted, you will
be
given your username and password. If you forget your username and
password and create a new login account, please notify the Office of
Farmland Preservation with your new LSID so we can update any previous
applications you submitted. Local Sponsors should only create one user
account.
14. What do I do if I receive
the following error? "The changes you requested to the table were not
successful because they would create duplicate values in the index,
primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields
that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to
permit duplicate entries and try again"?
You have tried to submit data on a step that has already been completed for that particular Farm ID. To correct, do the following:
- Login using your Username and Password
from the left
navigation bar.
- Click on the next step you need to
complete for the Farm ID.
- Type in your LSID and type in your Farm
ID.
- Complete the step.
