Mission:

The Molecular Diagnostics Section offers expedient, reliable molecular based diagnostic service to veterinarians, animal owners, and state and federal regulatory agencies, which will aid in protecting animals from infectious diseases and promoting animal health.

Services:

The Molecular Diagnostics Section of ADDL participates in national disease surveillance programs to screen animal population for highly pathogenic avian influenza, exotic Newcastle disease, Foot and Mouth disease, and Classical swine fever. This section also offers polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based diagnostic assays for detection of many infectious agents.
