Note: Beginning in January 2016, landowner applications will be completed by Certified Local Sponsors on a new software application system which can be found here. This site is home to the former Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program (LAEPP) landowner application system. User account information and landowner applications from previous funding rounds can still be accessed through this site for transitional purposes. Please note that this website is no longer supported, and that no information input into this application system (i.e., landowner applications) can be submitted to the Ohio Department of Agriculture for consideration in any future funding rounds, including LAEPP 2016. Application information on this system reflects the application as it was under the LAEPP 2015 funding round (including county adjusted land values). Information on this site is expected to be available until June 30, 2016.

Farmland Preservation Advocates:

Welcome and thank you for your interest and participation in the Clean Ohio Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program (LAEPP). Established in 2002, this program was created within Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 901.21 and described in ORC 901.22. Its goal is to preserve Ohio's most productive and viable blocks of farmland for future generations.

Please read the Policies and Guidelines before beginning the application process.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 614-728-6210 or email us at farmlandpres@agri.ohio.gov.

Sincerely,

Denise Franz King
